Thank you for your interest in the Noyce Fellowship at UGA. To complete the online application, you will need to provide academic and demographic information as well as prepare written statements that are described below. All of this information will be collected using the Qualtrics tool. You may prepare the written statements in a word processor, and copy them to the application. You are also able to begin an application and return at a later time to complete it.
1. a personal statement about why you aspire to become a science or mathematics teacher
2. a statement about prior experiences (duration and type) with students who are from groups who are under-served and under-represented in science and mathematics (up to one page)
3. a summary of your educational objectives, background, and financial need for the scholarship (up to one page)

Recommendations should be on official letterhead and come from educators, employers, or other professionals qualified to provide insight about your candidacy (personal acquaintances or family members are not appropriate references). We ask that the letter writers address the candidate’s disposition and/or interpersonal skills as well as experience and potential.
