This application is intended for incoming first-year students into the Franklin Residential College for Fall 2025 - Spring 2026. All students applying to the Franklin Residential College (FRC) must apply and be accepted to The University of Georgia. Additionally, students should have at least one intended major or minor in The Franklin College of Arts & Sciences. Preference will be given to students with a major in Franklin College.

The first priority deadline for applications is April 5. Students accepted into the Franklin Residential College will be notified via UGA email of their acceptance by the end of April. All students accepted into FRC reside in Rutherford Hall, and all first-year FRC members must take one of the three First-Year Odyssey courses designated for the Franklin Residential College in Fall 2025.

Please note that all students seeking on-campus housing, including in Rutherford Hall, must also fill out an application with University Housing via the Dawg House (see your orientation materials).
Are you also applying to join the Russian Flagship Program at UGA?

Optional. Would you be interested in further information about Federal Work Study positions at FRC? These paid positions are for students with unmet financial need per FAFSA; you can find details on Federal Work Study here

All incoming first-year students accepted into the Franklin Residential College are required to take one of three First-Year Odyssey Seminar (FYOS) sections specifically for FRC residents. The designated FYOS courses will meet in Fall 2025 in Rutherford Hall. You will have priority in signing up for these seminars over non-FRC students. If you do not sign up to take one of the required FYOS courses, you will be removed from the FRC program.
I hereby grant the Franklin Residential College permission to post photographs of me on their program website and social media outlets.
Roommate Preference: All available rooms are double occupancy.
(Note: The Franklin Residential College does NOT have access to your roommate choices in the Dawg House. Therefore, you are responsible for ensuring that your preferred roommate also fills out the FRC application and that they list you as their preferred roommate. Check the appropriate box below if you would like to be removed from consideration for the FRC if your preferred roommate is denied/wait-listed.)
Which of the following would you use to describe yourself? (Select all that apply.)
[Please note - answers to this question will not affect the status of your application to the FRC; they may be used to help match roommates if you are admitted.]
